ACDN excluded from the Paris Peace Forum

ACDN (Action des Citoyens pour le Désarmement Nucléaire) had requested, both in July and again in early October, that it be accredited by the organisers of the Paris Peace Forum, scheduled for 11-13 November, so that it could cover the event and report it on its website www.acdn.net.

Here is the reply sent on 28 October:

"Further to your request for media accreditation for the first Paris Peace Forum, we regret to announce that we cannot give a favourable reply.

"The restrictions on space and the exceptional security measures needed for the event limit the number of media that we can welcome on this first forum.

"Thank you for understanding,

"The Paris Peace Forum team."

So visitors to ACDN’s bilingual site (over 830 000 visites so far, half francophone, half anglophone) will not be able to read a report on this event.. For lack of space for one person or as an exceptional security measure?

Concerning the “exceptional security measures” applying now in Paris, see

The next Pluri-annual Energy Programme is unacceptable. Let’s have an alternative one !

Might that be the explanation ?
